Jan Bulla was born in 1986 at Banska Bystrica town in Slovakia. During his childhood, he started learning and playing the piano from seven years old.

After his grammar school and primary music school, where his music career began, have been continuing studying at Conservatory of Jan Levoslav Bella in Banska Bystrica and conducting at State Conservatory in Bratislava (Slovakia).

From 2010 to 2015 he studied Organ Performance at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava with Imrich Szabo. In terms of his furthered education and developing performance skills, he participated in masterclasses course with international organ lecturers and players such as Vincent Warnier, Jean Guillou, Monika Melcova, Rainer Oster, Martin Schmeding and Nathan Laube. During this course, he has learnt a lot regarding organ technic, performance and gained experience which was implemented for his performance.

In 2009 he won 1st place in the 2nd category at the Competition of Young organists in Namestovo town.

These achievements and experience had a significant impact for his music which has been mostly improved and fundamentally catch a progress on his performance.

In the past years, he played as a organ performer in many European countries such as Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Luxembourg and also recorded organ music for the Slovak Radio as well as.

Since 2013 he began his employability as an organist at the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Kremnica town, where is every year international organ festival as well. He also serves as a guest organist at the St. Martin’s Cathedral in Bratislava and at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Spania Dolina.

At the moment he also works as Assistant professor – accompanist at the Dance Department of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and from 2016 in the same occupation as a piano accompanist at the Slovak State Traditional Dance Company in Bratislava.

He is very strong and educative musician, particularly organist performer and his education regarding composition, conducting and piano performance create a massive landscape for his music skill and performance for each concert.
